It’s that time of year again! The Fourth of July is right around the corner and we are looking forward to all of the holiday festivities, from beach days to backyard barbeques and, of course, fireworks! With numerous fireworks shows taking place on the island, there are many opportunities to join in on the Independence Day celebrations. Below are just a few of the events happening across Long Island and here on the East End.

Riverhead – July 3rd
Riverhead will kick off their Alive on 25 series on Wednesday, July 3rd, which will include a fireworks show. Riverhead’s downtown will be taken over by food trucks, live music, activities for the kids, clothing and jewelry vendors, and so much more! The street festival begins at 5:00 pm with fireworks beginning around 9:00 pm.

Jones Beach – July 4th
One of the largest and most popular fireworks displays on the Island is the annual Fireworks Spectacular at Jones Beach State Park. With more than 100,000 attendees last year, the Jones Beach Spectacular will not disappoint with 30 minutes of stunning fireworks accompanied by an array of patriotic music. The Jones Beach fireworks can also be viewed from Wantagh Park or Cedar Creek Park, or purchase tickets for a boat cruise and enjoy the fireworks from the water. Show begins at 9:30 pm. Be sure to arrive early, however, as parking fills up quickly.
