Holiday Shopping on the East End

As the holiday shopping season gets underway, we are here to help with a guide to the best shopping on the East End. From local boutique shops and small, family-run toy stores to high-end fashion brands and large, name brand companies, you can find everything you need for your friends and family right here on the East End. The following are just a few of our favorite spots for holiday shopping on both the North Fork and in the Hamptons.

Southampton Village

Southampton Village has long been considered one of the best spots for shopping in the Hamptons. From local staples including Hildreth’s Home Goods, Flying Point Surf & Sport and Stevenson’s Toys to well-known brands such as Michael Kors, J. Crew and Pottery Barn, Southampton provides a variety of shopping options throughout the year. Find high-end jewelry at Corwin’s Jewelers, running shoes and athletic wear at Geary Gubbins Sports, shoes and purses at Jildor, or wine and liquor and Herbert & Rist. Also, be sure to stop by Breezin’ Up for Southampton apparel and souvenirs and check out the original Tate’s Bake Shop for some sweet treats to gift to friends and family. The Village is also beautifully decorated with Christmas trees and lights for the complete holiday shopping experience.

Greenport Village
The holidays are a wonderful time to stroll along the streets of Greenport Village and spend the day browsing the many boutique shops that line Main Road and Front Street. From clothing and jewelry to books, crafts and home goods, you can find one-of-a-kind gifts at stores such as Tea and Tchotchkes, Sea Bags, Burton’s Book Store, Land Shark Unlimited, and One Love Beach and visit Revel North Fork for all your Greenport souvenirs. There are also numerous antique shops in the village including Beall & Bell, Lydia’s Antiques & Stained Glass, and Gallery 429. Take a break from shopping and visit the Greenport Ice Skating Rink or take the kids for a ride on the carousel.

Love Lane | Mattituck

Although small, Mattituck’s famous Love Lane is worth a visit during the holiday season. With several boutique shops including Mint Clothing Boutiques, Love Lane Sweet Shoppe and Bauer’s Love Lane Shoppe, you are sure to find a special gift for someone on your list and visit Mattituck Florist for seasonal décor. While on Love Lane, treat yourself to a meal at Love Lane Kitchen and then, finish the day with a glass of wine at the Roanoke Vineyards Wine Bar across the street.

East Hampton Village
Offering a similar variety shops and restaurants as Southampton, East Hampton Village has become another popular destination for shopping in the Hamptons. East Hampton has everything you are looking for from sporting goods, clothing and accessories to home goods, furniture and books. Shop brand name stores such as LuLu Lemon, J. Crew, Vineyard Vines and Elie Tahari along with local shops including BookHampton, Stevenson’s Toys, Breezin’ Up and Gubbins.

Sag Harbor Village

Sag Harbor is another beautiful hamlet on the East End perfect for a full day of holiday shopping. Spend the afternoon wandering through an endless selection of local boutique shops along Main Street and Division Street in the village. A few of our favorite Sag Harbor shops include The Wharf Shop for toys and gifts, Flying Point Surf, Kites of the Harbor and Sag Harbor Books. There are also many boutique clothing stores to choose from including Goldie Sag Harbor, Lifestyle, Satori and Joey Wölffer. And, no trip to Sag Harbor is complete without visiting the Variety Store for countless gift options.

The Shoppes at East Wind | Wading River
While primarily known as a wedding and events venue, East Wind Long Island also features its own small village with shops, restaurants and creative studios. Beautifully decorated for the season, it is the perfect location for an afternoon of holiday shopping. The Shoppes at East Wind include several boutique retailers selling a variety of products including jewelry, footwear, natural skincare products, apparel and accessories, and craft gifts. You can also visit The Crushed Olive for artisan olive oils and vinegars or The Cheese & Spice Market for high-quality farmstead cheeses. And, be sure to take a ride on the grand carousel for the complete Shoppes experience.

Tanger Outlets | Riverhead

For all your favorite brands at special outlet prices, visit the Tanger Outlets in Riverhead. With more than 150 brand name and designer outlet stores to choose from, Tanger offers a wide array of gift options for all styles, ages and price ranges on your Christmas shopping list. At the outlets, you can find stores such as Nike, Disney, Banana Republic, Columbia and Saks Fifth Ave Off Fifth among many others. Also, if you are unable to find something at Tanger, there are countless other shopping options along Old Country Road 58 in Riverhead including Target, TJ Maxx, Christmas Tree Shop and Dick’s Sporting Goods.
